Mike Paci, Lodi, NJ, had three keepers on the day which included a pair of identical 6 pound 4 ounce fish that took the pool. Dominick Marcantonio, East Hanover, NJ, just missed his second pool in a row with a nice 6 pound 1 ounce fish of his own.
Eventually we got into an area that held some nice fluke and we started picking at some nice fish. Like I never see that, but anyway it was a nice day and we had some guys do good and we got into some nice fish,,I just wish I could of had more guys do better.
Kept bouncing around with just a pick on shorts and a few keepers waiting for some Wind or current, anything that would help us produce. Made another move and found some life, lots of shorts a few keepers and a beauty that was lost at the net!
We couldn't repeat Sundays great fishing with big Fluke and limits this week but we are still catching very well. Another thing is constant bouncing of the sinker, not big bounces but 4 to 6 inches off the bottom at a time just enough to give the bait little a jumping motion.
We went out east and caught a mix of blues, albies and bonito on nice long drifts. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
