Capt. Jimmy Rivelli worked hard today for us and it produced some good action with some nice size keepers in the mix. Bucktail Bob finally broke out of his slump with a nice 5 pounder that ended up taking the pool as well as getting another keeper and a ton of shorts.
After trolling for 2 hours with no signs of life except for Mahi-Mahi we brought in our Yellowfin spread and moved to the Big Eye hole and started our quest for a Devil Tuna. The Cal Star rods can put so much pressure on a big tuna especially in low gear and this all comes from testing on the Long Range boat out of San Diego when they fight 300 lb.

7 5 Fluke Report Sunday, 05 July 2015 20 44 Written by Capt. Jack It was a nice weather day today but the fishing was slow for us today. The fares did land a few nice quality fish today but just not enough them.
Most of the stops we pulled some nice keeper fluke over the rail along with some knucklehead sea bass. Jill had high hook with four keepers fluke up to 5 lbs., some others went home with 1-3 keepers, as usual the short fluke gave you action during the day .
