Fishing Report April 25, 2015 30 Apr, 2015Fishing Reports The Associated Contractors Group Sponsored by Bill Dorish. COLD, windy morning (they have their gloves on for a reason) 6 00 AM The Associated Contractors Group showed up ready to fish.
(WED) Today we ran a open boat Tog and Cod trip and the fishing was picky. The size of the Tog were no great shakes either today, by the end of the day we some keeper Blacks and about 8 nice keeper Cod.
Chef Sam and crew had several beauties in the cooler including the pool fish at 15 pounds. Not many readings any where we looked today, maybe the threat of some weather pushed them further in the back, who knows.
Both days saw a couple of tog make the box, and both days(Monday in particular) saw enough cod for the box to give the guys a nice bag of fish to take home. It was great fishing with everyone and what we lacked in fish we made up for in having some good laughs and bending a few rods during this pre tog season!Don't forget. tog opens on April 1st so make your reservations! Thanks again!
Striper Fun with Capt Joey G of Sykk Physh 30 April 2015 - Gr8ful Drove from PA to NJ yesterday to grab Adam as soon as he got home from school, and from there, we ran to meet my friend, Craig Gorczyca, and his son, Tyler, for a trip in the Raritan Bay for stripers aboard the Sykk Physh with Capt. Joe Gahrmann. By the end of the trip, the kids had worn-out arms from fighting fish after fish, and they also had worn-out cheek muscles from all the smiles and laughter.
Tuesday was a slow day, we had action on the shorts, but could not put a keeper in the boat. We sailed today with a nice crowd, and there was plenty of action on the shorts. A few keepers were put on the deck and the pool fish was taken by Bill Kang weighing in at 10 lbs. It was a good day to be on the water, plenty of sunshine, blue skies, mild temperatures and decent fishing.
