It was a tough day with the weather conditions but we ended up catching a 35 lb striper and 4-7 lb blues. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.

Croakers have already shown up in some very good numbers along with some Kingfish and small Trout that seem to have massed in the shallow sloughs of the Bay, and out front in the Ocean we are already starting to see some decent catches of Flounder on the old grounds and there are still some nice Sea Bass and Ling for those that venture a little further offshore fishing over some of the deeper shipwrecks and structures much further off of the beach. With the amount of Croakers already around up in the Bay, and with the good sign of Flounder that we have already seen it looks like the fishing is going to be good for both the Half-Day and the All-Day trips.
Capt. Rob Semkewyc has been chunking bunkers on readings in the bay, or working around bunker schools where stripers and blues are often spotted feeding with his Sea Hunter from Atlantic Highlands. BAY HEAD TO BARNEGAT INLET Several big striped bass have been caught to the south with the snag drop technique around bunker schools, but it's not consistent for boaters and kayakers.
