    Fortunately, a school of bunker passed by and big tails came out of the water among them as Many hooked up on a chunk while I threw a live bunker in that was immediately hit by a bass that weighed 28 pounds before release. Though there was no longer any sign of those bass and bunkers, I cast another live bait that was hit by an even larger bass that pulled Many's Boga Grip down to the 40-pound mark.

    The action for fluke has been holding the same Hot, cold and in-between. Plenty of fluke around --getting them to bite consistently is another thing.

    The fares picked away at some nice size keepers in the 4lb range. Horse regular Dickie from Monroe NJ won the pool with a nice 7lb flattie.

    7-8-14 We had a much better chew today,alot more bites with both shorts and keepers. Our best drift we had 7 keepers,few had just 2-3 but most we caught fish to go home with.

    TJ was the hot hand today, but everyone got some nice fish and we ended the trip with 21 keeper fluke in the box to 6 pounds and plenty of shorts mixed in to keep it very interesting. We fished a few different spots today and the guys worked hard and put a limit of sea bass together including some really nice fish to nearly 5 pounds.

    The conditions for fluking have been absolutely perfect before the tide change with the wind and tide together, and the fluke have been coming over the rail!Two angler, Jerzy Pytel and Jham tied for high hook with 4 keepers, and Mark McQuaid tied Mike Butler for the pool with a pair of 5 1 4 pound fluke.

    Most spots we catch a couple, shorts and a nice keeper but can't repeat the drift so we move on. The keepers are still all nice fish from 3 to 7 pounds with not many 17 1 2 incher's this season, where did they all go Tried Ambrose a couple of times, no life yet with the exception of sharks, the flats didn't produce much and the beach has been dead!
