I know lots of other boats struggled today as the water was very dirty after the two day blow and it sounded like there wasn't any life except where we just happened to be. Anyway tomorrows a new ball game hopefully the water cleans up after a few tide changes and the Stripers will be all over the place tomorrow.
The SEA STAR III got off to a late start to this Fall Striper Season due to some very high winds again this week. The SEA STAR III will be Striper fishing DAILY at 9AM and I hope to see all of you at least one more time before we rap up our 2014 campaign, December 24, 2014.
Capt. Dave De Gennaro trolled a striper and a blue at Shrewsbury Rocks from his Hi-Flier out of Manasquan Inlet, and then ran south to Ocean Beach where it was solid big blues on the troll. Though Joe Melillo didn't have any surf reports today at Castaways Tackle in Point Pleasant, he had weighed a 20-pound striper caught in the surf during the storm by Keith Speidel of Point Pleasant, and a 13 1 4-pounder from the surf on Sunday by Roger Bauer of Avon.
