Updated 6/27/14I know people are always looking for fishing reports and they are important for most types of fish but Fluke are in place now for the whole season and the catches depend entirely on drifting conditions. At this time about one out of 6 Fluke are a keeper.
The past couple days the morning trips have been better then the afternoons but that's just the past couple days due to the drifting conditions. we still pulled in some nice fish in the afternoon but the short action was not as good.
This morning we had a decent start, with action from the short flatties also from the nice quality keeper fluke. We moved again to the beach area and pulled in some sea bass along with some keeper fluke.
The past couple of trips for Fluke were a little on the tough side due to the hard South wind and cold water BUT we got back into decent action this afternoon with keepers and short Fluke along with some Sea Bass and Ling.SAILING 7 DAYS A WEEK FOR FLUKE AND Â 7 NIGHTS A WEEK FOR BLUEFISH!
I'm on the boat everyday but rarely if ever fish. Paul put the boat on the good bottom and Don and I enjoyed an endless bite finishing up with a limit catch of 45 very nice Seabass Over 20 Tog up to 8 lbs which were released and a dozen Ling.
