7-4-14 The rain held off until late in the day,and the ocean was pretty calm even though we had strong storm offshore of us. The drift early on was managable and we had a few keepers early in the day but the current started ripping us along so it stopped the bite and we did not catch much after that.
report by Capt Ted White 4 July 2014 The past week we have been fishing for fluke, seabass, and small blues. The fluke have not been cooperating that well, the south wind has dropped the water temp along the beach about 10 degrees.

what more could one ask for Jim Lohse, Union, NJ, ended up with four nice fish up to 5 pounds 7 ounces and tied for the pool with Matt Dalton, Mt. Olive, NJ, who also had an identical 5 pound 7 ounce fish as part of his catch. We ARE planning on fishing tomorrow and already know of guys coming down!!
