Sat morning we had out Kris Hunter and friends and had very good action with the blues with the fish ranging in the 5 to 12lbs after that we switch over to bottom fishing and had a good catch of porgies with a few sea bass mixed in. We had good action with a bunch of short bass and a couple of bluefish then we went bottom fishing and had a good pick at nice porgies with a few sea bass.
Updated 11 10 14Well for the last three days all we did was look at them, today they came up on top and you could literally see hundreds of them, they didnt bite like we saw them but we did end up with a very nice catch of Stripers, All the fish were from 20 to 30 pounds, nothing smaller, the pool fish was 37 lbs. I will post pictures a little later today.
The Golden Eagle only noted that it ran north from Belmar for lots of big blues on jigs plus stripers up to a 25-pounder. At Twin Lights Marina in Highlands, Gene Graman of Middletown reported poor eeling this afternoon from his That's It as only one 27-inch bass was released in Sandy Hook Channel even though bait was pouring out to sea.
