The Sea Hunter from Atlantic Highlands has posted a 6 30 to noon trip. The Jamaica had a very good offshore wreck trip on Sunday, as there were sea bass limits for all plus porgies and some cod and pollock.
We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving surrounded by family, good friends and great food. You know when your spouse comes home after a bad day at work and you say how was your day and the response is I don't want to talk about it , well that sums up today's fishing.
11-25-14 Ground swell was the word of the day today, big swell out of the south,Shut the bite down inshore so we had to fish a little deeper to get into the fish,Not that it was good fishing, you had to work at it and deal with some dogfish at times but some of the guys caught some fish, high hooks had 4-5 keepers, some 2-3,etc. some one or some did get the skunk or only caught shorts but considering the swell we had I guess I should not complain,Almost a three way tie for the pool but Jack ended up winning by an ounce.
We hit a couple spots today and had lock and load fishing with both spots producing very good bites and a boat limit of sea bass with a fantastic keeper ratio and a very nice grade to the fish!No matter, we turned our attention a bit shallower and finished up the day fishing for trigger fish and put a nice box of 21 triggers including some big slabs in the box!September 16, 2014Jay, Jim, Pat, Ron, Don, and Chuck were aboard today for an open boat fluke trip.
November 25, 2014 Tuesday report This morning we started out with SE ground swell and a NW wind, the first few stops we had some keeper togs and a mix of shorts, and we moved around the bite was hard to feel at times due to ground swell. Our last stop was the best and most active, many in the group put 1-4 keeper tog in their coolers, we gave the group an extra hour of fishing time because of the good bite.
