Updated 09 28 14We had a shot of tuna at sunset and then again about an hour before sunrise, during the night we caught a few tuna and had a couple short Swordfish, we made a short drift after sunrise and caught two Longfin and some Tile fish. The catch was 176 Mahi (3 to 12 lbs), 18 Yellowfin (60 to 70 lbs), 11 Longfin (35 to 50 lbs), 2 Bigeye tuna (150 and 170 lbs), and 8 or 10 Tile fish.

Pretty bumpy ride out but really settled down by afternoon and the evening was beautiful for the charter. Worked the area some more but with another charter leaving that afternoon headed into the barn and got there around 1230 PM.
Other fluke boats may be bottom fishing or taking a few days off before trying for stripers. Just before the storm he weighed a 19-pound party boat bluefish, but was told it lost the pool to a 22-pounder.
Kenny the Fluke took home the pool fish today with his 18 inch fish,pool was big up around 650 bucks!!Tomorrow we are gonna spend the day targeting Cod,Ling,Blackfish,and some big Winter Flounder are around,as is triggerfish and some other exotics!!!
By the end of this morning s trip we will not only close out the 2014 Fluke Season, but we will add another name to the list of Flukemaster Classic Champions. The current leader is Bill Reid, who on Monday, September 15th landed an 8lb 12 oz beast, big enough to put his name on top of the monthly leaderboard.
