Wednesday, July 1, 2015 Seabass season dropped from 15 to 2 for the month of July, but Ling will be the thing that we are fishing for now plus the 2 Seabass, some Flounder and Cod. Today we did well with Ling, with catches of 10-20 a man plus a few Seabass, Cod and Flounder.
Jul 1 2015 7 1 Nice day of fluking Next Open Boat trips are Tomorrow at 7 30am for Fluke and 5pm for fishing and fireworks. Hey everyone we had out the Middlesex county Roads and Parks dept. today and the guys did a good job catching some nice quality keeper fluke.
07 01 15 It was a shame that last night's storms kept a lot of fishermen home today, both on the area boats that got out fishing and the private boats which were totally absent on the bay. After the last couple of days of having to work engines to put some fish in the coolers today we were able to make long drifts where we picked away at a nice mix of keepers and shorts most of the day and ended up with happy fishermen.

6-30-15 Summer like, good drift all day and we had better fishing as a whole I thought today, everydrift we had some keeper fluke along with throwbacks and some sea bass,,high hooks had four keepers, few had three, etc. .not everyone caught but overall I was happier with the life and amount of keepers we ended up with, should get better everyday now with nice weather forecasted all week.
As mentioned below the Canyon Runner Dredge was a big hit with the big-eyes last night. The side of the boat with the white dredge had all 5 bites and they even switched sides once and only trolled one dredge for a while while cleaning up and all bites came on the dredge side with the white dredge. The 48 Viking with Capt. Evan Millias and Kevin Muller had a big-eye of their own and added a few very nice yellowfin and mahi to round out there trip. That's 18 big-eyes for June - 8 more than we ever did before in any year. We are hoping to go back out tomorrow if the winds slack off overnight so hopefully the fish are still there.
