Bogan ran to the south today with his Gambler from Point Pleasant, but didn't find any bird action or bait in that direction. Sunday's attempt for stripers will be to the north, and if not successful he'll drop on wrecks for blackfish.
He has been sailing with us for more than 30 years and has caught more than his fair share of big fish over that period!!We hope that he has 30 more years and many more big fish to come in the future!!!
The morning started with a steady pick of togs coming over the rail, even the short togs were close to 15 inches, the white leggers gave us most of the action today. The largest tog caught today was 9 lbs.
We have this date open next week for either an open boat striper trip or regular charter and we will be offering up to 10 hours of striper fishing at the reduced weekday price of 175. Contact Cape John if you would like further information or to reserve a spot on one of these trips.
