We decided not to go to the deep to fight a 2 knot drift. We waited for the change of tide where we had our best fishing yesterday and were able to make one long drift with quality fish and a handful of shorts mixed in.
Carmine Mangini caught an 8lb 4oz fluke this morning which was good enough to create a tie in the monthly pool, something that has never happened until today. The man who Carmine tied up is Carmen Patullo, who boated his 8lb 4oz fish on June 13th during one of our evening trips.

9 knots!Got the lead out and picked away on some nice keepers and plenty of shorts the first couple of hours. Most of the fish we have been catching the past couple of weeks have been on bait, so maybe things are going to change in that department.
Fishing Report by Capt Ted White 22 June 2014 Well, the blues continue to elude us so we have been hitting the wrecks and reefs for seabass and ling. We still have a few openings for the tile trip on July 6, we will have our trolling gear with us as the tuna fishing has been rather good offshore.
June 21, 2014 Saturday report Recently caught on the Capt. Cal We started the morning fishing along the beach with plenty of bites from the short flatties with a mix of keeper fluke. We moved around only to find the same conditions and then we fished in deeper water, only bringing over the rail the short fluke with some keepers.
