Atlantic Highlands fishing May 12 12 May 2015 Capt. Tom We have been sailing everyday making both morning (8am) and afternoon (1 30) trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm).
Good action once again, as we Drifted all day. Bait, Jigs and Top-water plugs works the best. Just a note, if you plan on using Plugs please replace the treble hooks with Singles, the trebles tie up the nets and are pretty dangerous on the boat. Pool fish went to a 15 pound Bass. The PA boys put on a clinic fishing in the bow with non-stop action for their first time out this season. Sorry guys, but like a jack-ass, I deleted the wrong folder of pics for today!!
If your looking for action these big Blues will give you a hell of a fight and there are plenty of them. I am still hoping for some good Striper action. I know they are around it sounds like daybreak some boats are hitting them but them on the Bunker but its short lived then the Blues take over. We have been using fresh bunker since last Tuesday that's what we used and had that super day with the big fish. Some boats are using clams but we have been catching just as many and most times more Stripers on the fresh bunker.
