Good conditions all day for where we have been fishing and had good action on most drifts throughout the day with a lot of 3-6 pound fish in the mix and a number of limits around the boat. Bob Genung, Lake Shawnee, NJ and his friend combined for nine quality fish up to 6 pounds 4 ounces.
The Queen Mary also reported the last two Magic Hours trips were very good, with stripers up to 48 pounds caught. Capt. Vinny Vetere of Katfish Charters at Great Kills fished the river today with live bunkers as his charter caught 15 stripers up to 25 pounds.
We had a descent day today on both trips despite a ship coming through the channel a half hour into the first drift of the morning trip and killing the channel fishing. I hope to see you then, Capt. Rob Here are a few pics Even chicken eating Steve caught today after losing his first 6 fish.
We had quality fish up to 8 pounds with limits and others having multiple keeps. This mornings fluke charter (Teamsters 177) encountered a slow drift, however we were still able to put together a decent catch.
