1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

Well I guess we were do for a slower day. We did some searching in the morning and found some life in a different area today. The first stop the fish finder lit up but we only managed a few fish. The birds kept going up and down in small areas. When we stopped we would catch 1-4 Stripers and some big Blues. This went on for a few hours. From the reports I was getting I didn't want to leave it. At 12:30 I broke the cardinal rule of fishing. Never leave fish to find fish, but I wanted a strong finish to the day. I looked and looked for life but nothing was around. I made a last stop at yesterdays area where we caught them very well before going home but only caught one Striper there. Its always hard to catch yesterdays fish but i was hopeful. Anyway it was not our best day but it wasn't our worst either. We ended up with around 18 big blues and I believe the count was 21 keeper Stripers and a handful of slots and threw a few shorts back The pool winner went 24lbs and the runner up was 23 lbs. That was the day in a nutshell. After the last few days today seemed slow. But I would sign a contract now to have this fishing everyday. The next few days the weather looks good. Sunday and Monday could be a blowout with lots of wind forecasted. The next few days the weather looks good.
