G Loomis has been building quality rods ever since Gary Loomis founded the company over 3 decades ago. Even though he has since sold the company to Shimano, they continue to make outstanding fishing rods. The Pro Blue series is no exception. A bit more expensive than the St. Croix Avid this is your go to rod if you are typically fishing deep, around structure, or prefer to drag bait.

Not as well known to the masses as St. Croix and G. Loomis but Lamiglas builds one heck of a fishing rod. This rod is a composite of 2 parts graphite and 1 part fiberglass. This design results in incredible power and strength, while maintaining the natural bend of fiberglass.
