Blackfish report for april Details Created on Tuesday, 25 April 2017 21:27 Written by Capt. Ron The season started out slow for us. had a few trips where we covered tons of ocean both north and south of belmar trying to find the blackfish. We finally broke through last weekend where Donnie had a beautiful 14lber, carl with a 10lber, and tons of other slobs. We managed our boat limit very early in the morning and played c&r for a while. We also had tons of double header keepers as well. Everyone had a blast and it was about time the blackfish broke open! we do have openings for this friday 4/28 (4 spots) so call for a spot before the season closes! starting in may we will be fishing for striped bass, ling, cod, and flounder until the seabass opens towards the end of the month.
