Posted on April 12, 2021 Bluefins hitting in canyons The Canyon Runner from Point Pleasant hasn t been out there yet, but an eastern Long Island member of their Coaching Report Service reported catching over 30 bluefin tuna while fishing the canyons recently. The Mimi VI from Point Pleasant is sailing open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6 30 for blackfish with whitelegger crabs included for 110.

Ended up with a limit in the rain and wind to finish the day. Made our bait and went on the hunt, found them and got our limit with the biggest fish at 38 inches on some foggy rainy conditions.

On the 44FA had Dan Pillitteri back with dad John, located the mother lode of fish early getting boat limit early then going into release mode. Had a hot start that boat traffic impacted so had to cover some ground to get the guys their limit.

It was a long day today. Tomorrow is another day I will give it my best as always.
