Captain's Focus

07/02/16

A lot more wind than predicted to go with the outgoing tide all day made for tough, but not impossible, drifting conditions with 8-10 ounce sinkers being required all day. The morning gave us the majority of our keepers. A new batch of fish has either moved into the bay or at least into the channel we are fishing with guys having to work through more short action the past couple of days than we have been seeing recently. High hook ended up with three keepers and Richard Cavaluzzi, Highlands, NJ, took the pool with a 5 pound fish.. Much lighter winds for tomorrow should give us a more manageable drift. See you in the morning.
