Capt. Stan Zagleski, of Elaine B II at Bahrs in Highlands, says he hasn't been fishing due to nasty seas the last two days. He's hoping the NW winds predicted for Wednesday will start calming the ocean, but he'll be waiting in port for that to happen.
At Belmar, the Ocean Explorer got out Monday, but found very little action with blackfish in east winds. They will shape up in the morning with the west wind coming. The Big Mohawk plans to wait out the small craft warning, but is looking forward to sailing Thursday.
