The Ocean Explorer from Belmar had a nice day on the ocean that produced a good pick of cod, plus some blackfish that had to be released. Unfortunately, they won't be fishing on Sunday due to a prediction of NE winds up to 25 mph. Monday is also out as they'll be going through the annual Coast Guard inspection. Betty & Nick's in Seaside Park reported a 27-inch striper was caught in Island Beach State Park this morning. A light NE wind was perfect for fishing.
