The northwest wind roared today, but the Ocean Explorer got offshore from Belmar on Tuesday and found a lively bottom with some keeper pollock plus short cod among lots of bergalls. Friday looks like a likely day to sail again Grumpy's Tackle in Seaside Park didn't have a beach report, but anglers buying bloodworms are catching small stripers plus white perch in the bay. There was also a report of a keeper bass, and those fish have also been hitting plugs in the evening. They may be feeding on spearing.
