Spring came in like a lamb today, but the Ocean Explorer from Belmar reported the ocean was too lumpy for the run offshore to cod grounds. They'll try again on Wednesday as northwest winds should flatten the seas. Betty & Nick's Tackle in Seaside Park is posting videos of the surf once again. They reported the surf was fishable this morning, though still somewhat off-color. The northwest wind should clear that up, and school stripers are a possibility.
