Over Under - Viewing Report 2012-07-11 - Mad Dog Chunk Bite - Nice Yellowfin Tuna Just another quick note that the tuna fishing continues to be great. In about 5 hours of fishing we hooked approximately 30 Yellowfin yesterday. The fish are nice ones, going about 50 pounds, some a bit larger. They put up quite a fight on the light tackle we are using to get them. We had Tuna jigging, on chunks, live-bait and on the kites. We also caught a Hammerhead Shark on one of the live kite baits, and also hooked in to a nice 175 pound blue marlin that put on a great show only about 30 feet from the boat. Great fishing here in New Jersey.
