OPEN BOAT TRIPS - NJ, NC, Miami, Bahamas

NEW JERSEY - We have received word that the canyons off NJ are still holding Bluefin. The water looks right and the weather this week looks un seasonally good. We have kept the boat in the water, fueled and ready to go. If anyone wants to give it a go, looks like we could leave sometime Wednesday, returning Thursday. We will not run at night this time of the year, so it will be an overnight trip. We will target swords at night and hopefully find the Bluefin during the day and be able to get on top of them with jigging gear. If all else fails, we will move inshore and do some cod fishing. We need to know by Tuesday morning if we have enough people to go, in order to make ready. Please respond ASAP if you'd like to go and we'll see if we can get enough guys to put it together. Cost will be $500 per person. We have also now listed our first Canyon Trips for the Summer. We are starting early, based on the great June Yellowfin fishing we had last year. We have 46 Hour Trips planned for June 15-17 and again on June 26-28. Cost on these 46 hour trips is $850. If you would like to be on our NJ Short List, to be informed of other opportunities, please respond to this email. We typically do NOT email everyone on out list about these trips.

North Carolina - Bluefin are being caught about 35 miles out of Hatteras now. We start fishing very regularly this coming weekend. Still have plenty of spots available, including this wednesday. Spots and Dates are up to date on our OPEN BOAT PAGE, please let us know if you'd like to be on the "NC Short List". This is the only email we will send out about Open Boat Opportunities, unless you are on that list. Spots are $350 per person and we have these days open for SINGLE SPOTS: Feb. 8, 26, and March 4. The boat is available for charter Feb. 13, 14, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29.

Miami - The Sail Bite has been pretty darn good on most days. Check out our last SAILFISH REPORT, where we saw 25, hooked 16, and released 8. We are scheduling open boat trips the entire weekend of the Miami Boat Show, Feb. 17-20. If you'd like to get out, spots are $300 per person. Let us know when you can go and we'll organize as many trips as possible.

BAHAMAS - As we did last year, we are scheduling a week long OPEN BOAT. You can come for the entire week or a portion. Full Week is $2500 and includes all boat related expenses and breakfast/lunch aboard. Dinners, drinks and gratuity (15-20% is typical) are not included. Dates are March 14-21 and we will have the boat at PARADISE ISLAND, which makes flying in very easy. We plan to make trip(s) to either the Exumas, Eleuthera, and/or Chub Cay, depending on the weather and fishing conditions at the time. There will be a maximum number of five guests, plus crew aboard. Typically, the group size will be four.
