Captain's Focus

2010-12-15 - Hatteras Bluefin Tuna Heats Up
The Bluefin Bite was very good earlier this week. Capt. Darrin was out and decked an 80 inch fish while the rest of the fleet all got their shots. LOW PROFILE will start fishing full time out of Hatteras this weekend, and be targeting both Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna all winter. LOW PROFILE will be based in Cape Hatteras, fishing out of Village Marina until the end of June 2011. The Bluefin bite was exceptional last winter from mid February till mid March and while we had been suggestion people hold off until then, based on this week's bite, we might be re-thinking those plans! Hopefully this is the start of a great tuna season here on the outer banks, just like the good old days in Hatteras. Time will tell, but the fish seem to be here now, so why wait!
