Boat Rigging Advice

Lately we have had more and more inquiries from new boat owners asking for advice on rigging various aspects of their boat.  We have now created a comprehensive list of recommended equipment, safety gear, and fishing supplies to help get boats into shape.  Give us a ring and we will send one of our guys over to help you go through your boat and make recommendations as to how best to outfit, rig and maintain your particular boat.  From rigging outriggers and selecting the proper type of safety gear, to stocking the right type of leader material and cleaning products, we will give you our thoughts.  We will work with you to create a complete equipment list, and then work our wholesale relationships to secure you the best possible pricing on the outfitting of your boat.  Outriggers, rafts, rocket launchers, belts, spare parts, tools, fishing equipment, cleaning supplies, etc.  The list can get quite overwhelming quickly.  We can offer you one stop shopping and peace of mind that you are getting the right products at the right price.

Ocean City, MD Fishing Report

Lots of time spent inshore this week, which worked out real well!! The offshore report is sort of slow, no tunas and just a few dolphins mixed in with very few white marlins. The weather was also not real great for our larger family groups this week, so inshore it was.

The bite was great all week, lots of Bonita’s and Albacores which kept the anglers very busy. The fish just loved the cedar plugs and plastics as we could hardly keep bait in the water at times. The water has been a dirty green inshore and about 79 degrees. We have also been doing very well with the Spanish mackerels and snapper blues just 3 miles inside the Albert’s. The folks have been more than happy with the results; we even caught a really nice gaffer dolphin inside on day.

We’re hoping that BILL will help us out a little but we won’t know more until during the week so stand by. Hopefully the offshore will get back into full swing like the inshore.

New Jersey Fishing Report

Where are the Tunas???

Well, it seems everything remained the same this week with our trips to the edge. We continue to see numerous marlin every trip with no tuna bites for the week.  We fished the Wilmington canyon on our latest trip seeing three whites with one on the west notch and the others  inside  of it in 60 fathoms.  We did manage to pick a  couple of  nice dolphin there also. We have a very busy week this week with a 48 hour and four overnight trips so we will be able to stretch ourselves out a little and hopefully, find some  yellowfin.

This weekend we moved most of our trips due to Hurricane Bill. We are hoping that this storm can change things around a little bit, maybe pulling some cooler water to the surface. We have seen it happen in the past and I think this is what we need. I am looking for the overnight bite to start this week as all we need is the fish. Squid continue to be littered up and down the edge.

Stay tuned to next  weeks  report as we aren’t on land all week and should have some reports from a lot of the canyons!
