2009-03-23 - Monster Muttons and Nassau Grouper
Well we just had a good cold front pass through and we got some good Ne wind with it. We have done the past 2 days inshore just waiting for the wind to calm . We will be offshore on Wed. and Thursday this week. Yesterday we did 2 hours of inshore fishing catching some nice mangrove snapper with some yellowtails mixed in before calling it quits and spending the afternoon at Nippers. Nippers still seeems the best way to spend our Sunday afternoons. Today we got back at it inshore and it took a bit to get things going. Anchoring on our third spot today proved to be the trick as we had unbelievable fishing on a nice patch reef. We managed to catch 2 nice nassau grouper today as well as some slob muttons once again to 15 lbs. The yellowtails were around too as we managed to catch a bunch again today. Anchoring on some of these ledges back here continues to produce on some blow days offshore.
