2008-07-26 - GREAT YELLOWFIN BITE! Big 200+ Pound Bluefin

AWESOME YELLOWIN BITE!

We are going to keep this short and sweet this week. We finally have a great Yellowfin Bite to report. The bite is happening on a temperature break just inshore of the mid Canyons. This is straight out from S. Jersey where both LOW PROFILE and JUSTIFIED are currently running. We just received a report from yesterday afternoon of 15-20 fish being caught on this edge, all between 40 and 80 pounds. This is what we've been waiting for! It's time to go to the canyon, if you are looking to catch yellowfin on the troll.

The Big Bluefin are still around, off of both NJ and MD. Take a look at the 72 inch beast that PRETTY WORK boated late last week. The Bluefin Fishing was outstanding earlier this week, and as often happens, faded during the course of the weekend, as boat pressure kept the fish deep.
