Islamorada and Bahamas Fishing Reports
San Salvador Fishing - Last 3 Days
Back at it again in San Salvador with better results than the last couple trips. Although it wasn't great it has improved. Today we had 5 or 6 good bites boating 2 wahoo and a dolphin. The highlight of the day was while deep dropping we dropped a jig down 50 feet on spinning gear. It didn't take long for the reel to start screaming . What could it be ? After a 20 minute fight we finally got color and a 56 lb wahoo was gaffed and hoisted over the rail. Finally we catch them while deep dropping. Back at it tomorrow...
Today we decided to change it up a bit and go fish Rum Cay. Unfortunately, the NE point at Rum produced very poor fishing with minimal bites. Talked to a couple local captains who have said the bite has been very poor as of late. We decided to come back to San Sal and finish the day loading up in snapper. Have a lot of hope for tomorrow with a good falling tide in the am.
Well Bahamas fishing has remained very slow. With 5 boats fishing today, all we could muster up was one blackfin tuna amongst all of us. We all decided to call it quits offshore at 12 and hit the bottom. The bottom fishing continues to remain consistent as we caught a load of grouper and snapper as well as some amberjacks. It was crazy to see 5 sport fish boats lined up all bottom fishing here in San Salvador, knows almost solely for it's outstanding Blue Water Fishing. A cold front coming through tonight so maybe this is what we need and will shake things up a bit.

Islamorada Fishing Report - Weekly Recap
This week in the keys the weather was wonderful, 85 and sunny. The week started with a pretty good amount of cobias moving through. We find them with the rays inside the reef edge. The bait of choice when targeting Cobia is Grunts.The sail fishing has been slow with only a few fish released this week. The great weather might have had a lot to do with it, along with very little current on the reef. However we did have a few days with some early dolphin showing up. Capt. Randy had 15 to 20 nice fish today, finding a pallet that was loaded with the "green hornets". The reef has stayed pretty strong with 2 to 3 lb yellowtails along with a few Kings making for some consistent action.
