2007-04-08 - Oregon Inlet and Bahamas Fishing Report
As the cold front approached towards the end of the week, it seems the fish decided it was time to eat. After a brief slowdown in the action out of Oregon Inlet, NC, Friday's action turned things around, to say the least. Plenty of yellowfin began coming back to the dock once again, and they were much bigger, most going 60-70#. At the same time, the same cold front over 1000 miles away had the exact same affect on the fishing in San Salvador, Bahamas. Friday was probably our best day of the season, as the LOW PROFILE boated 4, 45-80# wahoo, a 45# tuna, and also jumped off a Blue Marlin. Many other fish were fought and eventually lost or eaten by sharks. In the words of the crew "it went off"!
