March 1st the first important date of the fishing year at least for those of us who love fishing for striped bass. The reopening of all waters inside of 3 miles of course, for striped bass. All angler's know that their best opportunity for catching large fish this time of year is back up in Raritan Bay where they are busy feeding getting ready to spawn. A combination of warmer water and food that will draw both the striped bass and anglers to the back of  Raritan Bay and rivers of  New Jersey kicking off what we all hope to be a great spring striped bass season!
