The only positive party boat report received so far today was from the Golden Eagle out of Belmar which had good action with larger bonito plus some little tunny, chub mackerel, ling and sea bass -- though the latter are out of season and must be returned. That boat makes its first canyon trip on Sept. 10. Spaces are available by calling 732 681-6144. The Jamaica from Brielle had a similar report from Thursday's trip when Thomas Sabol of Freehold won the pool with a 6-pound bonito. They have room on a reservation trip for bonito and little tunny on Sept. 6, and on their first canyon 31-hour sailing at 7 a.m. Thursday. Call 732 528-5014. Vinny D'Anton caught a small fluke on a light jig, and later raised a few blues to his Chug Bug -- releasing one cocktail blue  I was surprised by a heavy 17-inch fluke on a larger Kettle Creek paddletail. Frank Huza of Aberdeen took the long walk to the tip of Sandy Hook in the cold north blow, and threw everything he had from 6:30 a.m. for 1 1/2 hours without a hit. An angler who was there at night told him that he had released stipers of 23 and 26 inches. Capt. Stan Zagleski will be finishing the fluke season with Elaine B.
