Captain's Focus

Stripers, Stripers, Stripers !

by Capt Ted White 23 November 2010

The striper fishing has been about as good as it gets for us this season. We are catching at least one per man but most trips are better than that. The fish are good size, only about 6 shorts or so on average per trip. Most of the bass are in the 30 -32" range and the pool winners are up to if not over 20 lbs..

Some first time catches; Cody and Adam Eastburn, Pete Gray jr., and Andrew from the Steve Mitchell party. Adam not only caught his first bass but a limit of them !

Barry Waltersdorf's party had 6 fish with the top two at 18.6 and 19.2 lbs..

Pat Golden took the pool with a 18.4 lb. bass and Frank Abriola Sr. took the pool Monday with a 26.8 lb beauty.

We also did some blackfishing on Monday after jigging and put 28 keeper blackfish in the boat to go along with the 6 bass and 20 or so blues.
