Captain's Focus

Real Good Flukin'

by Capt Ted White 2 August 2011

The fluke fishing has been pretty good, we are averaging about 10-12 keepers a trip with about 40-100 shorts depending on conditions. The pool fish are in the 4-5lb. range and there are some small blues in the mix. Our latest offshore trip was not so good, we managed one nice swordfish of 90lbs. during the night and missed a shot at a white on the troll. If it is poss., I think the weather was too nice for it.
