First tuna trip goes well

by Capt Ted White 3 September 2012
We headed out Saturday morning wiht the Chris Eastburn party for our first overnighter of this season. Weather was good and the reports from offshore were encouraging. Trolled till dark with no luck, a few bigeye were taken, got anchored for the night and caught four yellowfin in the 50-60 lb class. The morning troll was slow so we decided to drop for some tiles. Made 3 short drifts and boated 10 tiles up to Tom Houk's 25 lber. If the weather is good we will be out there again Friday/Saturday.
