Blue and Bonito still biting !

by Capt Ted White 27 July 2014

Our inshore tuna trip yesterday was not to productive, great weather and water conditions, just not many cooperative fish. Did catch a mahi and pulled the hook about 30' from the boat on a nice tuna, few other hits, but in general slow.
Tod...ay Jim Mershatt had his family and friends from West Virginia out for a day of excellent bonito and blue fishing. The weather started out poorly with rain showers most of the morning, but that actually kept the seas down a bit and made the bonito bite like crazy ! They had hard as you could pull them fishing for about 3 hours ! By late morning the skies cleared, sun came out and made for a nice ending to a day they will not soon forget. The kids had a blast
