The west winds should have calmed the ocean and cleared inshore waters, but there still haven't been any fishing reports. Betty & Nick's Tackle in Seaside Park has a surf temperature of 46 degrees, and the offshore buoys are up to 40 degrees. Sunday looks better, and some anglers should be giving it a try -- particularly the Raritan Bay shoreline for stripers as well as the back of Barnegat Bay for bass.   The Ocean Explorer from Belmar was going to try sailing this morning, but there's been no report so far.
