Fishing Report May 20, 2018

May 20 Charter sponsored by Mark Jameson Chimney Tinton Falls. On board the CAPT DAVE this morning was avid sportsman and extreme angler 10 year old Daniel Thanel. Dan arrived a bit anxious about getting a late start mumbling something about dad got lost on the trip down. Off we went and in 45 minutes he had his first bass on. Boating his first keeper bass he suggested to release it saying there was a bigger one for him. Fighting several more that were lost at or near the boat his big one was on and boated. The day was coming to a close and knowing chunking for bass was on the slow side he said let’s give it a try. Dan boated several by-catch fluke on bunker well over the 20 inch mark that were quickly released remarking “looks like it’s going to be a productive fluke season”. When posing for his picture with a fish 3/4 his size and asked if he needed help holding it, his reply NO.
