July 4th Independence Day Report!

We did see a good improvement on the Fluke fishing on Friday!  Some good size keepers up to 7lbs along with some shorts came over the rail.  It seemed to me that anglers using the squid/spearing combo did the best.  Few were caught on gulps and bucktails as well.  Today was slow but the conditions were tough to fish in.  It can only get better for us.  Tom Cooper of Point Pleasant is in the lead on our Monthly Pool board with a 6lb 9oz Fluke!  There are bigger ones out there waiting to be caught!

We did see a slight improvement in the Bluefishing!  On Thursday night, we caught the 1-2lb Blues pretty steady on small baits.  Friday night was slower but read them good.  The just did not want to feed.  Once we start catching these fish, the bigger ones are not to far behind them.  These fish are alot of fun to catch with light tackle!
