Weekend Wrap-Up June 13th and 14th

FLUKE FISHING IS GETTING HOT!!!!!!

The water warmed up and the Fluke are starting to turn on.  Over the weekend, there was a very good catch of shorts with some decent size keepers in the mix.  I seen the water up to 67 degrees today and that should help us out a lot!!!!  Green mullet gulps worked the best on Saturday and on Sunday, anglers using rubber squids with squid/spearing combo on the end of the hook seemed to pick the bigger Fluke out!  Judy Schible is in the lead on our Monthly Pool board with a Fluke weighing around 5 1/2lbs that was caught on Saturday!  This week coming up, the conditions are looking good for catching Fluke!  Come on down and join us!

I wish I can have a good report for the Bluefishing as well, but fishing for them still remains slow.  Took a good ride on Saturday night to look but struck out.  We seen a few smaller Blues swimming around but could not get them to bite.  Sunday night, we had a light crowd so we did the inshore route and anglers caught some decent size Ling and Sea Bass.  We are still giving it our best!!!  I am going to bring clams with us as well at night so in case the Blues do not bite we have a back up plan.  The Ling and Sea Bass are very tasty!
