Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 24

Made both morning and afternoon  trips again today. On the morning trip we went to the same area we have been fishing. The fishing started out slow with only a pick at shorts. As the morning went on we picked better at the shorts and caught a couple of keepers. On the afternoon trip the conditions looked good so we made a drift in Sandy Hook Bay. We picked at the shorts and had a couple of keepers on the first drift. We spent the rest of the trip in the bay where we had very good short action and caught more keepers. Doug had two nice keepers and Cliff (who caught no keepers in the morning) came back to catch two keepers. You can see their pictures and others from today in the gallery. Its nice to still see fluke in Sandy Hook Bay if the ocean gets rough. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm).
