Stripers & Blues

This morning, we got off to a slow start. We had a nice pick of sea bass and ling drifting over the muscle beds, rocks and rubble. As the day went on, fishing continued to get better and by the middle of the day we had some shots and double headers with some nice big sea bass. We ended up with a combination of ling, winter flounder, a nice big fluke and a couple of silver eels. Some caught their limit on sea bass and some had buckets full of fish. It turned out to be a beautiful day on the ocean with good fishing. Fourteen year old Zach Wagemann alone caught over 30 sea bass, only keeping his limits, and his brother Tyler won the pool with a 5 lb fluke on the Royal Miss Belmar. The pool winner on the Miss Belmar Princess was Terrence Mulrooney from Rockland City, NY.
