Posted on September 6, 2021 Final fishing tackle garage sale Saturday After digging through my basement and garage in preperation for putting my home in Manasquan Park, N.J. on the market. i’ve found lots of fishing tackle and accessories that I’d overlooked during revious sales. That will all be out Saturday at 1552 Osprey Ct. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., along with furniture and household items. During the week I’ll list some of the special items that will be included. If there’s enough left,. I may extend the sale into Sunday. You can reach me with questions at 732 757-5531 — or at cristori@aol.com The Manasquan River Marlin & Tuna Club’s 41st Offshore Open ended Saturday evening, but I haven’t been able to find final results on their website. Capt. Chris De Stefano was one of the anglers aboard Frank Criscola’s Crisdel on Saturday, and he said there was no repeat of the great bigeye tuna bite earlier in the week at the 100 Square of Hudson Canyon that had produced 17 bigeyes in one day of the contest. Miss Belmar Princess marked lots of bluefish this morning, but they didn;t bite readily. Anglers who worked hard with A-27 jigs, both plain and tailed, still managed their five bluefish party boat limit. The forecast for tomorrow is for northwest winds at 5-10 knots shifting to southwest in the afternoon.
