Due to poor weather and an even worse forecast, very few boats sailed today. However, Capt. Stan Zagleski thought the forecast was "overblown", and sailed with his Elaine B. II from Bahrs in Highlands. He tried the ocean area where big fluke were boated Tuesday, but with wind against tide there was no drift. Zagleski had to run almost all the way back to where the current was right and ended up with another good catch of large fluke. Check my Friday column for details when it's posted later tonight.
My Friday night blog will probably be late as I'm fishing the Manhattan Cup tomorrow.
