The striper fishing was great this morning with a couple of excellent drifts producing more than 40 keepers in the a.m. alone. When the tide dropped out the fishing shut down and it became a very slow, to no bite, in the afternoon. With the amount of readings that were under the boat, we should have sunk it with stripers. The season has just begun and there will be plenty of excellent fishing to come.
