Captain's Focus

August 9th, 2011

Monday night's blue fishing we went 24 miles East of Belmar. It took some time to find the fish and then we found a reading to anchor on. It started out with no current and a slow pick of blue's. Once the current picked up, so did the fishing. We had 5-8 on with shot's of 8-10. High hook had 21 blue's. All in all it ended up being a good night of fishing.

Today, it was a beautiful day on the ocean before it started to rain at the end of the trip. We anchored up and picked away on 10-14 lb jersey blues caught on both bait and jig's.

Our pool winner was Bob Remner from Branchville, NJ with a 17 lb 3 oz blue.
