Captain's Focus

LBI Fishing Report 4/29/2012: OK, here's the long and the short of it. Sat. April 28 the pool was split between John say Cheeseman and birthday boy Bill, who was on board with 8 of his friends and family to celebrate with him. (Bill I had no camera Sat. if you send me pictures of your gang I'll get them on the web site.) Sundays pool winner was the unknown fishermen with a nice 7 pound tog. Now the long and the short of it. That 1 inch they added on was most likely the reason that most people did not get their limit. A lot of fish in the 14 inch range came over the rails but 15 was the magic number. Next weekend we will do a four hour inlet trip from 8-12 cost will be $40.00 (but you Capt. Frank he can't tell time) looking for fluke. If in the event we see birds diving in the inlet, we will see if there are any stripers or bluefish lurking under the seas. So that's it for now.
