Captain's Focus

Mike with A Humpback Seabass
Persistent NE wind made for rough fishing this past weekend.  Hit the ocean around 7:30 and it was a mess.  Seven footers made things REAL slow.  The "crew"  decided that discretion wins... so we headed to the bay to try for Fluke.   I knew that was going to be a zonk.  Slime grass dominated and water temps fluctuated wildly.  Readings between 56 - 70.  Nary a bite nearly 4 hours into the trip!  Headed back to the inlet for the outgoing tide.  Finally, we bagged a couple of Blues.  The Blues got the  adrenaline now back working....so we headed back out into the somewhat tamer ocean.

We got into the Seabass decent.  Some where pretty nice sized too.  Fish were caught on both bait and jigs.
